For hockey fans, there’s exciting action on the ice from the Merrimack Valley's own Lowell Devils, an affiliate of the American Hockey League. Home ice is at the Paul E. Tsongas Arena.
Lowell Spinners
Baseball fans are thrilled by the Lowell Spinners, the Merrimack Valley's own minor league team, a Class A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. The Spinners' home field is LeLacheur Park, with a capacity of 4,700, each one a great seat. Call the Spinners box office at (978) 459-1702 .
UMass Lowell River Hawks
The UMass Lowell River Hawks sponsor 20 varsity sports, including ECAC hockey, NCAA basketball and baseball. The River Hawks compete in Hockey East and the Northeast-10 Athletic Conference. River Hawks teams play their home games at LeLacheur Park and the Tsongas Arena, two of the newest and best sports facilities in Massachusetts.
Merrimack College Warriors
The Merrimack College Warriors sponsor 16 varsity sports, 15 of which compete at the NCAA Division II level. Men's hockey competes in the best NCAA Division I conference, Hockey East Association. All of the Division II sports compete in the Northeast-10 Conference. Warriors play their home games at the recently expanded and renovated Volpe Athletic Center.

North Shore Baseball League
Have you ever heard of the Amesbury Reds? How about the Andover Shockers? Or the Haverhill Diamonds? They're three of the fourteen teams in the North Shore Baseball League, which draws teams from the North Shore of Boston to southern New Hampshire. The highly competitive league attracts talented players with a passion for baseball. Most have played college baseball and many have played professionally.
Merrimack River Rowing Association – Lowell
The Merrimack River Rowing Association (MRRA) is a non-profit rowing club affiliated with the U .S. Rowing Association. The Association's objective is to encourage the amateur sport of rowing, both in its competitive and recreational forms, through active rowing, training, regattas, social and organizational participation.
New England Soccer School – Amesbury
Located at the former Amesbury Sports Park, New England Soccer School features one large field and four smaller synthetic playing fields for soccer players of all ages and abilities.
