Three major highways radiate northward from Boston (Route s 3, 93 and 95) creating a strong transportation link to research and development centers and institutions. Route 495 is the outer beltway around metro Boston and in turn, connects each of the 24 communities in the region to these arterial highways.
Public transportation resources include: Amtrak’s high-speed train connecting Boston to Portland, Maine and commuter rail service (MBTA) connecting Valley communities to Boston.
